IT’S TIME FOR YOUTHFUL REPOSITIONING

2 Jun

On 5th of April, 1996, Chief Bisi Akande said: “I will never associate myself with IBB in my life.”
On 3rd of June, 1998, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu said: “IBB is the problem of this country”.
And on 12th of November, 2013, after a meeting with IBB, Chief Bisi Akande and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared, “We need to pick the brains of former rulers in this country in order to be wiser than we were before we came here.”

Now, WHO IS FOOLING WHO???

Before, they fooled us by calling us the “leaders of tomorrow” when the leaders of yesteryears are still gallivanting in the corridors of power. They a busy LOOTING while the leaders of tomorrow are busy BOOTING.
They keep trivializing our priorities and prioritizing our trivialities.

And right about now, I believe the average Nigerian should be tired of this OVER-RECYCLATION OF LEADERSHIP.

Believe me, this is a wakeup call for the younger generation to equip themselves diligently and get ready for responsive, responsible, honest, transparent and people-oriented leadership.

Finally, I take queue after men of like passion, who believe in the potency of the younger generation.
Yes! I take queue after Joseph, David, Esther, Daniel, Samuel, John F. Kennedy, Indira Gandhi, Theodore Roosevelt, Benjamin Franklin, Martin Luther King Jr., among many others.

Like it or not, NIGERIA WILL FLUORISH AGAIN!!!

AGE vs MATURITY: A Piece of My Mind

2 Jun

“Treasure, you write so much about politics. Don’t you have other topics?” someone asked. Well, I write as a matter of necessity and exigency, however, this is about RELATIONSHIP! (I can see someone smiling).
Let’s take a panoramic view of this age-long subject: “What’s the most prior criterion to consider before venturing into a quixotic relationship: AGE or MATURITY?”
To answer that, let’s mull over this:-
A teenager may be physically, mentally and psychologically matured enough, but that doesn’t undercut the fact that he will, most likely, be deficient of the experiential know-how of managing a purpose-driven relationship. Unfortunately, a lot of folks in this category are ENCAGED, rather than being ENGAGED!
Also, a woman can be 27 years of age, yet, lacks the intellectual and psychosomatic tactics required to brazen out fundamental challenges (psychological or emotional) that come along with a relationship. My dear, it’s not only about AGE, but also about SAGE!
Haven’t you come across folks, who cannot handle ‘mere’ friendship, hop-in and jump-out of relationships, gallivanting from one man/woman to another? All they do is HOOK UP, SHARK UP and BREAK UP!
Dear, AGE DOES NOT DETERMINE MATURITY, BUT THERE’S A MATURITY THAT COMES WITH AGE.

NOT THIS KIND OF INVESTMENT

2 Jun

Neither God’s template nor the cherished Nigerian culture recognises or permits such a sickening thing called HOMOSEXUALITY.

Those looking for disciples for their gay gospel should please leave us out of their toilet agenda. They should not bother to bring toilet matters into our living rooms.

Yes! We are looking for foreign investors, but homosexuality is not a permissible business in Nigeria.

GUIDE OUR LEADERS RIGHT
HELP OUR YOUTH THE TRUTH TO KNOW!

What kind of adults or fathers say that a 13-year-old girl is an adult just because the elders in her family have conspired to rob her of childhood?

At 13, I used to play ten-ten and read pacesetter or Jola Readers. I was still being reminded to do my home work, and sometimes caned for dodging house chores.

Nigerians say ‘NO’ to child-marriage!!!

Excerpts…

2 Jun

The topic of leadership is taught in one thousand and one locations at a moment, but most people don’t want to learn the sacrificial part of leadership.
The saviour of the world denied Himself of the glory set on high.
The Apostle Paul said to his Timothy; ‘You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
In 1957, Martin Luther King Jr. prayed “Lord, I hope no one will have to die as a result of our struggle for freedom in Montgomery. Certainly, I don’t want to die. But if anyone has to die, let it be me.”
Nelson Mandela said “If my people will not be free, I’ll prefer jail to bail”

Every great leadership that ever existed was borne out of sacrifice.
LEADERSHIP WITHOUT SACRIFICE IS AUTOMATIC AUTOCRACY.

YIELDING TO JESUS

16 May

YIELDING TO JESUS

“Measuring up to the stature of the fullness of Christ’s stature”1 is not an impracticable feat to attain, in the sight of God. He expects us to grow till we make that height. Over the years, the Christian body has consented to the feasibility of the divine expectation. Nevertheless, the Church has overtime constructed a negative approach to such a positive inclination. How? We have resolved to do God’s work by trying to help ourselves. It’s not done! The creature is always subject to the Creator.

Of a truth, God wants us to change in ways of life and stature. But we cannot enjoy growth by living based on daily, weekly or timely resolutions such as: “I don’t wanna tell lies today”, “I want to pray more this month”, “I want to read Genesis through Revelation this year”, etc. Have you not heard? It is God that works in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.2

God seeks a time when the church will stop struggling to “live for Jesus” and start learning to “yield to Jesus”.  Now, consider this: If Jesus is the Head of the Church and we are His body3, why then do you think the leg can live for the Head? How can the intestine live for the Head? Do you think the wrist can live for the Head? Never!

Therefore, as long as Jesus remains the Head of the Church, the Church can never live for Jesus! The body can only yield to the leading of the Head. Exhibiting sonship belongs to those who are led and not those who strive to live4. That’s why many Christian folks struggle to exhibit the normal Christian life. Get this truth: God is committed to activating positive changes in us all by Himself. The Creator Himself does not change, but He’s constantly changing His creatures.

Finally, let’s consider what the Apostle Paul taught the Galatians. “I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me…”5 By implication, we, being dead to flesh, cannot live of our own any longer. We only express the life of Jesus in us. “…and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”6 Jesus loves us, therefore, He doesn’t want us to struggle with living right. He expects us to just trust Him and yield to Him.

Hello! Stop living to Jesus. Start yielding to Him.
